Differences Between UTP and STP
The S stands for Shielded, the U stands for Unshielded, and the TP stands for twisted pair for both
For most common uses, it does not really matter whether you use STP or UTP as both would probably perform well
Application
Each cable is fully tested, quality inspected, and meets all TIA/EIA Cat6 standards. Constructed from high quality copper cable, this design minimizes Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) levels, and provides universal connectivity for LAN network components such as PCs, computer servers, printers, routers, switch boxes, network media players, NAS, VoIP phones, PoE devices, etc
